Dietary needs
Food allergies and medical diets
For your intercontinental flight, you can order a meal tailored to your dietary needs:
- low-fat;
- low-salt;
- for a diabetic diet;
- for a gluten-intolerance diet;
- for a lactose-intolerance diet.
Make sure to order at least 24 hours before departure. Note that you have to order the meals separately for your outbound and return flight. You can only select dietary needs for your main meal, not for any further meals or snacks during your flight.
Food allergies
Although we have processes in place to minimise the risk, we cannot guarantee that your meal is 100% gluten-free or lactose-free.
Allergen information is available on all European flights. On intercontinental flights, it is provided only on flights departing from Amsterdam. You can access allergen information through our cabin crew.
Do you have a severe food allergy?
We recommend carrying your prescribed allergy medication in your hand baggage. You're always welcome to bring your own meal on board. Please note, however, that we're unable to heat it for you.
Some of our products contain nuts. Since we don't currently offer alternative meals for (tree) nut allergies, we recommend planning ahead.
Do you have a peanut allergy?
We understand the importance of feeling safe when flying with a peanut allergy. Our meals do not contain whole peanuts, ground peanuts, or peanut paste. However, they may be prepared in kitchens that also handle peanuts, so we cannot guarantee that our flights are completely free from peanut traces or contamination.
If you let us know about a severe peanut allergy, our cabin crew will gladly make an announcement to inform other passengers and help minimize your risk. Please note that we cannot deviate from our regular service on board.
